I actually like the new implementation of the channel design in YouTube because of the fresher look and because of the better user experience. It gives the user the option to switch to Player View and to Grid View (which will show your recent video uploads and newly added videos to your Favorites). Migrating to the new channel design might kill your present branding though. It’s advisable to be prepared with your background image and color scheme to use so that you could adapt your branding to the new channel design.
